I ordered 3 APC P6 Surge Strips about a month ago and have not had any difficulties with them. They have socket protectors which could be good for keeping dust, and children out of the socket, but makes it a little more difficult to use. Also the sockets are positioned in such a way that large narrow power adapters (iPod, Power Book, Samsung Cell Phone) cover other sockets.

Overall they are inexpensive and minor issues aside, work well.

I don't know what to say other than whatever I plugged into this had electricity. I haven't experienced ay lightning strikes, so I can't comment on it's surge protection abilities.
