Automatic Duplexing Features
Thanks to this innovative system, now you can copy, scan, or print two sides of a document automatically. You can also scan both sides of a two-sided document and print or store the scan as a single-sided page or as a single two-sided page. In addition, the DCP-8065DN lets you scan two single-sided pages to print or store as a single two-sided page. By offering these options, the DCP-8065DN gives you optimum versatility you can rely on no matter what your needs.
The Automatic Document Feeder
To help give you more time during your busy day, the automatic document feeder lets you load up to 50 pages at a time for copying or scanning. It handles letter or legal size documents and feeds them automatically, while you take on other tasks. The flatbed copying and scanning is easy to use: just lift the cover and use the legal-size document glass to copy or scan from books, magazines, or odd-sized pieces. The cover has "expansion" hinges at the back to accommodate even bulkier items. The 250-sheet adjustable paper tray lets you change from letter to legal size in seconds using the same tray. And with such a large sheet capacity, you won't have to re-supply as often, giving you more time to devote to your business.
It's also easy to add a second paper tray for greater flexibility. The 50-sheet multi-purpose tray can be folded down to feed company letterhead, envelopes, card stock, and other paper. This option is ideal for those times when you just need to print a couple of pieces on a special paper or use a particular size.
Speed and Resolution
The DCP-8065DN delivers quick, efficient speeds of up to 30 page/copy per minute copying and laser printing, and also offers print resolution up to 1200 x 1200 dpi. For precise, easy-to-read documents, copies can be reduced or enlarged 25 to 400 percent. The toner cartridge has an output of up to 3,500 pages, and the DR520 drum unit produces up to 25,000 pages, which means you won't have to waste time frequently replacing these units. There's also a function lock, setting lock, and secure print security function for added peace of mind. The backlit LCD clearly displays 22 characters and five lines, so it's clear and easy to read and the keypads are simple to use and easy to navigate. Plus, to customize your settings -- such as the percentage of enlarge/reduce you need -- the display also guides you through your choices. As efficient as it is user-friendly, the DCP-8065DN's compact size meets Energy Star's compliancy guidelines.
Ideal For Growing Businesses
Because of all its special features and its Ethernet connectivity, the DCP-8065DN is a great choice for growing businesses. If your business has a wireless network, or plans to have one in the future, the DCP-8065DN is a worthwhile investment because it provides a built-in Ethernet Interface to connect to your wired network and also has wireless capability. This allows you to share its fast printing speeds and sophisticated "Scan To" function (which allows you to scan and share information with those in your network) across your connected workgroups. Businesses thrive when they can disseminate information quickly. The DCP-8065DN can now make that possibility a reality for you.

I have printed about 60,0000 copies on it. Here is how to fix the 3 most common issues.
Have you noticed how the last page you get before you get the "Toner Life Ended" message is is perfectly clean and doesn't seem to be lacking any toner? Because the cartridge is not really empty! Here is a trick to make your cartridge print at least 1000 more copies.. Basically if light can pass through the 2 circular optical lenses on opposite sides of the cartridge due to less toner inside, the cartridge is jammed and you get the "Toner Life Ended" message. When it happens, simply take the cartridge out, get some White Out, and paint the 2 circular optical lenses on opposite side of the cartridge. Put it back in, print until it really runs out. If you are worried this will damage your cartridge, do not.. The printer had already indicated the cartridge...Read more 19 of 21 people found the following review helpful: By Skullduggery (Houston, Texas USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Brother DCP-8065DN Digital Copier and Printer (White/Black) (Office Product) This is an outstanding product.
It does it all. Copies, scans, and prints. It will print and copy doubled-sided documents. It will also scan double-sided documents through the document feeder as well. I'm really impressed by the scanning software as it allows me to save my documents in a number of formats (Photoshop, jpg, bmp, and other files types, including PDF). One thing that is very slightly misleading is the number of copies/prints you can get from a toner cartridge. When you see 3,500 (or 7,000 for the high-yield), that is only if you are using the toner saver mode (meaning you're printing in either 300 or 600 dpi). The toner saver mode is a nice option, but the copies/prints tend to be light and not as easy to read. So if you are not using the toner saver mode, you can expect the number of copies/prints from a cartridge to be significantly less (I think I got somewhere between 1,500 and 2,000 out of my standard yield cartridge). However, since there...Read more 8 of 8 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Brother DCP-8065DN Digital Copier and Printer (White/Black) (Office Product) As a public high school teacher, making copies at school takes a long time--the waiting lines and the non-collating abilities of the school's old machines were problematic. I bought this multifunction machine to function strictly as a copier for my house. After wasting hours of time photocopying and collating multi-page short stories and assignments, I thought that this machine would be money well spent considering the time I would save.
The copying functions are stellar--it is relatively fast and the high-yield toner is set at a reasonable price. Because I live in a house with 5 other teachers, the expenses surrounding the machine are relatively low. However, the printer has a propensity to curl copies upwards--even at settings and paper recommended by the manufacturer. Basically, if you have any ambitions to set up a copying and job and let it run without monitoring it, you should look at another option. After about 30 or 40 pages, the curled pages begin to...Read more |
