Comment: We recently started using this. makes it really nice when you have 2 different types of paper or different forms that you fill out. just have to remember to go into the properties to select a different tray when you need to switch. otherwise very easy to install and use. very helpful to our office.

Comment: I got a network printer because four of us use it - and nobody ever checks the paper supply.
Why get frustrated when somebody runs the printer out of paper? If you buy this tray, running out will happen a lot less often.
You won't get as frustrated, your blood pressure will stay lower, you will live a longer and happier life. Ok, perhaps not exactly true - but it is a great investment in a printer you will probably have for years.

Summary: This tray CAN be added to the MFC-8480DN laser printer 2009-09-15
Comment: The LT5300 is listed as not applicable to the MFC-8480DN laser printer. However, the MFC-8480DN users guide lists this tray as an applicable accessory. The tray installed as documented and is working fine. Tip: If you are adding the tray to an MFC-8480DN, lift the printer straight up.

Comment: This item is advertised to work with the Brother MFC-8480DN printer. But I found the instructions were inadequate and it doesn't work with Legal size for our MFC-8480DN printer.
Brother needs to really do QA on this before they start making claims it works with their printers.
