The 14.4K fax modem transmits a standard page in about 6 seconds withsmoothing enhanced image resolution. Up to 130 pages can be stored inmemory if the empty 200-sheet paper cassette has gone unnoticed. A fax willalso be scanned into memory if another is being received. The MFC-4600includes automatic fax/telephone switching so you can get your fax andvoice calls onthe same line. It also includes an interface for an optional externalanswering machine and supports call waiting/caller ID functions. Up to 38numbers can be stored alphabetically for easy dialing. Other usefulfunctions include auto redial, fax forwarding, and automatic legal to letterfax reduction. In addition, the MFC-4600 can be used to send faxes directlyfrom your PC.
