Canon PGI-5/ CLI-8 CMY Ink with PP-201 (50 Sheets) Combo Pack (0628B027AA)

My first indication that all was not right with this Canon combo pack from pckInk was when it came in an envelope too small to hold the package shown in the picture. When I opened the envelope I found the four ink cartridges loose (!) along with the 50 sheets of photo paper. The cartridges were labeled Canon (the paper had no label), but there was no Canon-labeled box like it shows in the picture.

Unlike the experience of another reviewer, the correct cartridges were included: black, yellow, cyan and magenta.

When I began printing with the black cartridge, the print was noticeably grayer than what I had been getting before with my genuine Canon cartridge. I had seen that gray color once before -- when I used an off-brand cartridge. The reason I bought this product was because it was advertised as genuine Canon.

It is obvious to me that pckInk sold me a counterfeit set of ink cartridges falsely advertised as Canon.

After looking around for ink for my canon printer (MX-700), I come to find this great deal! The ink performs excellently! And not-to-mention, you get 50 glossy photo paper...I haven't tried the photo paper yet, but this package is a great deal! I highly recommend it!

What can I say about this ink? Two days after the package arrived my printer quit working. LOL. Not the ink's fault though, something went wrong when I turned the printer off and the carriage stopped in the wrong place and refuses to return to where it should. So I bought another Canon and now I'll eventually need ink for that. I almost always buy my ink here at Amazon instead of hassling with local big box retailers. Sure, it's typically cheaper on Amazon but I just prefer the ease of dealing with this company. I've never tried the generic inks and I probably won't. If it's worth printing a large photo on special paper then I want the quality to last.
