I replaced a canon s900 that was acting up. I decided to stay with Canon and I wanted a wireless photo printer. I thought it would be nice to have the copy and scan features too. Well, I couldn't be happier with my choice. Although I had to apply a firmware and software upgrades right away, I am happy that I can print from all my devices (iPhone, iPad, MacBook pro, Mac mini) wirelessly. The only problem I have is that after a while of non-use the printer will disappear from my network (I don't think this is a printer problem). I just go into one of my devices (like my iPhone) and turn Wifi off and then on again... and the printer will show up. I like the touch feature and all the menus are fairly easy to understand. The two paper trays make it easy to switch between plain paper and photo printing. I'm not bothered by noise or warm-up time... some might be. It's a fairly large machine... but I was able to replace my older printer and my scanner - saving room. I haven't had...Read more

We bought this printer to make hard copies of dental X-rays. It replaced a $1,000+ Xerox printer. The staff is very happy with it, they say the print quality is much better than the old Xerox, but it does take about 90 seconds to print a full page glossy X-ray at maximum quality. The old Xerox would take about 10 seconds to print the same image.
If high photo quality and fast business printing are a must I would look elsewhere, but if you can wait 60 to 90 seconds for a full page highest quality photo print - it is a great printer and well perfectly in our office.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
Installation went smoothly after I figured out that at one point I needed to turn the printer off & back on again. I'm using Windows 7, 64 bit.
PROS (of the features I've tried)
-The Intelligent Touch System provides light-guided direction...only the buttons you need light up; the controls are sensitive to touch & very easy to use.
-Scans slides & film; the color & clarity of the photo I printed from a 32 year old 35mm slide are excellent.
-Several varieties of memory cards are supported.
-Using the Duplex feature saves paper, but printing two or more pages on one side of the paper involves more steps than Pixma 6120 . To print 2-16 pages on one side of your paper, choose 'Properties', then 'Duplex' in 'Quick Setup', click the 'Page Setup' tab to choose your print options, then 'Page Layout' to choose to print up to 16 pages on one side of the paper, you can also choose booklet and there are a couple other choices too.
-Exterior won't show...Read more
