Anyone who has done enough graphics design (I do it for a living) knows that the quality of the output can be as much a factor of software and the computer as the printer. I've had nothing but excellent results from this printer with clean, crisp, life like photos. Many applications like Photoshop create projects based on RGB screen output which is why photos, etc. look great on the LCD display but not so good when printed (That needs to be converted to CMYK). Check whatever software you're using to see how it handles this task or get software that automatically does this for you. Give it a try and I'll take a bet that the results will be improved. The downside to this device is that it comes with a very pathetic LED display that, when used without the manual, is a total nightmare. The maintenance feature displays up to 10 different functions using different alphabets, so unless you have them memorized, you won't know what the device is doing when you press one of the start buttons when the LED display is...Read more 45 of 49 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Canon PIXMA MP250 Inkjet Photo All-in-one Printer (Office Product) I am sure you have come across situations wherein your child says "Dad - I need to print this report for my school project now! And my printer is not working? "
The same thing happened for me over this last weekend, I took a look at my daughter's printer and found that her old LEXMARK printer was out of ink. Off I go to the local electronics store and search for the ink cartridge replacement and shocked to see the sticker price for INK Some searching I stumbled across this Canon PIXMA MP250 for $29.00 (On Sale) at local Fry's Electronics, I said to myself - it sure is better than buying ink cartridges and I get a free flat bed scanner! Canon PIXMA MP250 turned out to be a nice printer, it does its job well and it is a "real steal" when it comes to the price. PROS: [+] Low initial cost easily affordable [+] Prints in color and B/W with ease [+] Decent Color photos possible [+] Includes a Flat Bed...Read more |
