The ink for this printer can only be ordered from dell. It uses up ink a lot faster than my old dell 944 did and the ink is higher. It has a lot of printer head error messages when you try to print if its been idle a while, and you have to push the on button twice to make clear and print. I have had enough of this printer and after 6 months have ordered a Kodak ESP 7250 to replace it. Finally got it working until I had to replace the ink cartridges. Then the printhead error wouldn't go away and printhead wouldn't work. At my insistence (stupid me) they said they would send a new one. After receiving no follow up for 4 days I called Dell only to find out that the model was on "back log". After much insistence about not being satisfied in anyway, they sent me a "step up" the DELL P513w. Guess what, out of the box, it doesn't work.
