The normal resolution print is poor quality and the higher resolution setting is 1980's slow - I've not had such a slow printer for well over a decade. The printer will not print photos from the internet - or complicated pdf files: it just stops half way. This printer is totally temperamental as to whether it recognizes the computer link or not - sometime is just cuts out halfway through a project. In addition: the price was over $200 when I bought it at a time when a HP "all in" printer was offered on sale at the same price. HP know their business and provide workhorse machines that do their job. I have no alternative except to give or throw it away as Dell's return policy is not consumer friendly. This is my first (and last) Dell printer purchase and if this is typical, then I would like to respectfully suggest that they exit the business. 6 of 8 people found the following review helpful: By cookin' nut (Lake Arrowhead, CA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Dell V505 All-in-One (PRODUCT)RED Printer (Office Product) I received my "personalized" Dell computer package with included a printer/copier/scanner that DELL recommended. I've spent two weeks (more than 14 actual hours)with various tech support persons via phone and internet, with no solution to getting the scanner to talk to the computer. The people at Dell have no interest in customer satisfaction and tech support is a joke. I will never buy from Dell again. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Dell V505 All-in-One (PRODUCT)RED Printer (Office Product) Wow what a disappointment this all in one printer is. I have been using this for about three weeks, since my Canon all in one printer (MP830) went out. Immediately after pulling it out of the box, I noticed that it felt cheap, still I held out hope that it would do what I needed it to do.
However, the quality is NOT good, it is not compatible with my new HP Pavilion laptop, it pulls multiple papers through at once (so you have to stand there and hand feed your individual fax pages through), print quality reminds me of what was standard about 10 years ago or so. Overall, poor quality and poor performance. There are much better choices out there! |
