What a piece of garbage!!! I have had this printer for about 6 months and after I used up the ink cartridges that came in the box, I bought another set and it has been downhill ever since. The inkjets are clogged and now I can only print in red/magenta. Whenever I do a cleaning, it eats up ink. I thought I was going to save money by buying refillable ink cartridges. That was another mistake, because I wasted about $30 thinking that if the print head needed cleaning I could save money. Nope, not with this bastard! If you do the print head cleaning three times, you just wasted about a fourth of your ink cartridge. I am REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEALLY P.O.'d, because I am getting pretty tired of sponsoring apathetic companies that get away with selling garbage products (stronger language would have been more accurate of how I feel, but I had to "clean it up" so everybody can read it).

This printer prints well. No question. It is reliable and has the ability to print color images nicely.

However, the ink is very expensive and the printer does not allow all the ink in the cartridge to be used when printing. It says the ink is low and will not finish the job until the cartridges are replaced. Overall, it has been expensive to purchase genuine Epson ink and it's just a slap in the face when the printer says that the genuine cartridge is empty and its not! (I broke one open because I could hear some in when I shook it.

When I purchased it I thought I could buy the knockoff cartridges however this has proven to be somewhat difficult. Some knockoff cartridges have a computer chip that fools the printer into thinking it genuine Epson ink and then when you try to print something they don't work. In addition, some knockoffs don't even have a chip that works so you'll never know if they work or not because the printer rejects them.

It's prints okay, but is really overpriced for what it does. My biggest gripe is that it will not print if any of the four cartridges is out. Even if you only need B&W and have plenty of black ink, it will not print if the yellow, or red, or blue cartridges are out. A good printer will compensate when you are out of a color, or at least let you print w/ the colors available. No. Not Epson. They are in the business of sell ink, not meeting customer needs. This is the last Epson I will ever buy.
