I have owned just about every brand of printer made. HP, Cannon, Lexmark, even Kodak and have always had to settle for a machine that had some little quirk that would drive me crazy. Either the color wasn't correct or the wireless connection didn't work or it was so slow that when I pushed print I would go outside and wash my car, come back in and it would be just finishing the printing. This Epson 633 is different. When I put a sheet in the auto feed to copy, the printing starts right away and is done about the same time as the scan. WOW! It prints clear, sharp and fast. Photos were vivid and bright. Envelopes printed without a hitch. I even hooked it up to print wirelessly from my wifes laptop without calling someone for help. (I usually need help because I'm over 55 and a techno idiot) The little "quirk" in this one is it's a little noiser than some of the others but everything else about this printer has been flawless. For the other reviewer: the difference between the 633 and the...Read more

Great value for the money spent. Small footprint, comparable to other consumer AIO inkjets. Quite light in weight too. Refills look affordable. Great print quality, even in colour. I love Epson's proprietary ink - no more smudging when I highlight!
Very easy to set up, anyone should be able to do it without breaking a sweat. Attractive, sleek design. Haven't had any problems so far with dropped network connectivity or print jobs. Haven't tested the scan function yet though, so can't comment on scan quality.
The only area of improvement is the driver installation process could allow more customization. Annoying that you couldn't choose not to install the non-essentials (like the Event Manager and fax drivers). Might be okay if you only need to install on one computer, but if you have to do it for a home/small business network, it gets annoying fast.
Minor additional features I would have liked to see (often found in other AIOs):
1) Something...Read more

Great Software,

I've had this for about a week now so I as I put it through more paces I will update the review. So far everyone in my household has been very happy with this printer. I was looking for a cost-effective network printer. The prints are decent enough but it's nothing that will rock your world, (This machine is only $99, don't forget that). 90% of the people in my house print everything in Draft mode anyway double-sided (students). The only thing I initially did was upgrade the firmware immediately. As a side note, I tried to find the difference between the 633 and the 635 and I can't find anything. Even the Epson website says they're the same.
I have this printer running directly through my router which is luckily located right next to the printer. I can't comment on the WiFi network. And honestly, if you can avoid the WiFi part you should (just my opinion). Almost all WiFi printers have nasty comments about the WiFi aspects. Anyway, I was concerned because this printer is...Read more
