As an amateur photographer, I have never been too impressed with consumer grade HP printers. There was nothing "wrong" with them, but it always seemed to me that Canon and maybe Epson had a better understanding of the 'serious' amateur photographer and it showed in their printers. This printer may change my mind. It's too early to say that with certainty, (just got it yesterday 1-14-2012) but the early results are impressive.

I had been aware for quite some time, that for critical printing of photos, using a professional print lab gives far superior results with less waste. So I had decided that when I needed to replace my aging Canon I900 photo printer (I loved that printer), I would buy more for general convenience and cost of operation rather than photo quality. So that's what I did.

Great little printer/scanner!! Worked well right out of the box!! You simply install the software on your computer be it pc or mac, and follow the easy to use setup instructions. You somply tell it you want the "airprint" capability and and it works right away with your IPAD/IPHONE devices, no need to install drivers on the IPADHewlett Packard Photosmart 5510 Wireless Color Photo Printer.
On the physical side, the packaging in the box is good and easy to unpack and setup. Easy to use intructions show you how.
Very impressed! Been setting up printers since 1995, all make and brands, and this was the easiest ever!!

I absolutely love this printer. Very easy to set up and was ready to use in about 20 minutes. That included loading the software and installing the cartridges and alighning the printer. I love the fact that I can be in another room and still print. This is my first wireless printer. I would definitely buy this printer again. I did a lot of research before I purchased and glad I did. This is a great little printer for the money spent.
