Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
This is the second Kodak Printer that I have reviewed during the last two months. The first was the Kodak ESP Office 2170. I was very pleased with that printer and equally pleased with this one. In addition, I have an HP and Canon MP 640. Compared to the HP and Canon, the Kodak printers have the slight edge. For instance the Canon and HP use 5 ink cartridges and the Kodak printers use 2. I find myself always looking for a single cartridge of one of the colors and then having to order it. Particularly the Canon which for some reason requires two black cartridges - this is absurd. Both of my Kodak printers utilize the same ink cartridges and now I don't have to deal with multiple vendors for two printers. Also the paper loading on the Kodak printers is as easy as it gets. The Canon design is poor in this area.

I haven't done any studies on the use of ink, but it seems to me that due to the dual cartridge methodology, the Kodak requires less ink worries as it...Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Competent Home Printer, October 6, 2011

When our 17 year old laser printer finally died we replaced it with the Kodak ESP C315 Wireless Color Printer with Scanner & Copier. The software was easy to setup and getting it configured for our wireless network was pretty straight forward. I did some printing and scanning and it appeared to work OK. After a day it would consistently lose the connection to the network. Reset the router, reset the printer and it would work again for a day.

Support (not US based) was helpful, but misguided, advising me to disable firewall and antivirus. Given that the printer worked fine for about a day after each reset I suspected that the DHCP IP address lease was expiring and the software wasn't handling the IP address change gracefully. I configured the router to reserve a specific IP address for the printer and the connection has been stable and solid ever since (just under a month now).

We don't print much, but after 1 month the printer status indicates we've used...Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Kodak Printers Not Worth The Trouble or Money, January 2, 2012

I would advise everyone NOT to buy a Kodak printer. They are nothing but trouble. I will be returning mine tomorrow again - the third time in less than three months. I have owned several and all of the others the printheads quit working. I did have one that lasted over a year, but that was an exception. The printer before this one the printhead quit one month to the day I bought it. The replacement (the printer I now have) won't turn on now! It is a little over a month old. Totally not worth the troubl or money!
