The KX-FLM551 is compatible with users who have Call Waiting/Caller ID and Distinctive Ring features on their phone lines, and it features a 15-page document feeder and a 150-sheet paper tray, accommodating letter-size and legal-size paper. It also functions as a copier (making up to 99 copies from one original) and a scanner or printer, when connected to a personal computer via a parallel port. The scanner isn't designed for demanding high-resolution applications, but you can import pictures, line art, and signatures into your document at 600 x 600 dpi. The unit is backed by a one-year warranty.
Toner cartridge for this device costs only $24 at the store; that is $75 cheaper than most other toners in other devices. What's even better is that each toner can output upto 2000 pages. Other more expensive toners only prints upto 600-1100 pages. OUCH! I would've had to spend 8 times the money for lesser quality printer...NO WAY!
That is one of the reasons I purchased this device without hesitation. It is definitely a consideration if you demand high quality printing frequently. I've been using it for 3 months now and I couldn't be happier. Recently, I purchased two additional units as gifts for my close relatives.
