I bought this monitor to use at work as a secondary display for my Dell latptop. Both of my displays have a max resolution of 1680x1050, so there are no scaling issues when I transfer a doc, or remote desktop to the Samsung from the laptop display. It's very simple to use, and the rotation software allows for portrait orientation which is great for working with legal sixe documents. It comes with DVI and VGA cable, which is very convenient. I see USB, but havent used it so I cant speak to that. One thing I really like about this monitor is that although it is widescreen, it doesnt feel "squat" like a lot of widescreen monitors do. It has a good length to width proportion.
Samsung is a quality vendor, this is no exception.

very nice rotating stand. Bright, vivid colors straight out of the box without needing to touch any settings (at least on DVI). Lots of physical adjustments. Has DVI port. Comes with all cables (power, VGA, DVI). Very sturdy.I bought one of these monitors to replace one that was failing, and liked it so much I replaced all my monitors. They were all aging and the brightness and contrast was declining. So far, I have bought 5 of these monitors, and love every one.
Nice monitor, good width, very bright,

This monitor is so bright I turned the brightness down to 25% and it is still bright and crisp. It has a little shading in the upper corners, very minor and not very noticeable unless you look for it. The width/height ratio is very favorable, it really feels like a WIDEscreen, and it plays letterbox movies very well. I have bad eyesight and having a good sized monitor like this has really helped me out. I got mine on clearance and I'm not sure I'd pay the $300+ they're asking for it now, but if you can find it for less it's a pretty good piece of equipment.
