I bought this printer one month back, it is definately a good printer with a decent price. The one thing I feel is that it uses a lot of ink.

This is my first printer ever though so I do not know if all the printers do that but, I finished one cartridge of Black ink in 2 weeks and I do not use very often and as much as possible use the low ink mode. I was surprised to see how soon it got used up.

One more thing is that the cartridge for this model of printer is not that freely available and it is very difficult to find good deals for these cartridges as opposed to other models like 4800 or 4600.

Last advice, if you have an option, buy a different model of epson printer.

Ah!! one more thing Epson customer serivice is very rude and they would not budge an inch. If you are a no nonsense person please stay away from epson.

Stay away from this printer like the plague, or perhaps the cartridges are the real problem, but either way do not buy this printer.

I bought this printer, installed it, only to find that the black ink cartridge was bad out of the box just as the previous poster stated. I called up Epson customer service, they treated me like a monkey, but finally did agree to send me a new black ink cartridge in the mail for free. The lady tried her best to make me do an RMA for the whole printer, but I just kept saying how inconvenient that was and how ridiculous it was to RMA a whole printer when a removable part the size of a deck of cards was bad.

Moral of the story...if you want a good inkjet, get a HP they are worth the money, and if you want a truly good printer, pick up a used laserjet off of ebay.

Recommended for if you only need it for a short period of time. This product worked great until today and we've only had this printer for 3 months. It has a rather complex ink reading system that is not working properly. We purchased two fresh catridges and the diagnostic could not register it. Now we cannot print after only three months of buying it!
