Almost the best but the best you can get Reviewer: An electronics fan from San Diego The 470cx is radiant in the multifunction marketplace. There are no competitors that rise to its adoration level. The built in 1200x1200 color printer rivals many other 'only printers on the shelf'. Setting the fax machine to auto/manual/telephone or dedicated fax is easier than most brands. The scan feature operates faster than expected and the print and copy speeds are faster than all of the nearest competitors. If you're spending $250 for a machine, dare not pick anything else until you've astonished yourself at the overwhelming features, simplicity of use and extended life cartridges the 470cx has. For the money (and believe me the features are top notch), its the best multifunction on the shelf.

we have enjoyed this unit very much the speed that this machine operates greatly enhances the many other functions like copying and faxing or printing at the same time. a most excellent addition to any home business that needs a "professional look" and convenience

I bought the Xerox 470 about two months ago because I suddenly had the need for a printer, copier, and fax machine all at the same time (job hunting). Also my wife wanted to be able to scan photos to put them on the web. I paid $199 and have used it quite a bit in just two months. It has never jammed; its print quality is excellent for a $200 machine. The only problem that I've ever had with it was trying to scan photos. It's not a flatbed scanner, so feeding a small-sized photo into it can often cause a jam (which is easily cleared). I fixed this by taping photos onto a full-sized piece of paper, and now I never have the problem. It does everything that it's supposed to do and does it well. I have a laptop computer and really wanted to keep the machinery to a minimum. The ink cartridge is quite a bit more expensive than others ($41,95 for black), but I've done a lot of printing and it still shows that it is over three-quarters full. I'm very happy.
